What do the letters in the bike models stand for?
Here's a quick overview:First letter = engine size
F Big engine - 80 to 88 cubic inches or 1340 to 1450 CCs.
Second letter = tire size
L Big fat front tire
X Skinny front tire
Third letter(s) = frame style
D Dyna frame (with the rubber mounted motor)
H Highway frame (Road King®)
HT Highway touring frame
ST Softail® frame
Last letter(s) = bike model within frame family
C Classic or Custom
D Deuce
F Fat Boy®
